Letting the genie out of the bottle — one conversation, one city, one young voice at a time.
Why we exist
"76% of the public don't trust MPs to make decisions that improve their lives. 73% don't trust the UK Government to do the same."
— Carnegie UK, 2022
Roger founded Project Jinn in March 2025 with a single, urgent conviction: representative democracy in the UK isn't reflecting the people it claims to serve — and the window to fix it is closing fast.
Rather than wait for Westminster, he set out to build the mechanisms himself — pulling reformers, communities and young people across the country into one loud, amplified voice for change.
That mission took him on the road for #76in76 — The Veins of Democracy, a journey through all 76 cities in the United Kingdom, listening in person to what democracy actually means today.
On the road

The organisation
Out of sight for most people, thousands of individuals and organisations work every day for a better UK — on health, justice, safety, happiness and the planet. Among them are political reformers pushing to give citizens real voice in the systems that govern their lives.
Project Jinn exists to unite, empower and amplify that network — building new mechanisms for dialogue between citizens and policy-makers, across every political, social and religious line.

With the Somers Town Community Association, Project Jinn is piloting a youth-led participatory democracy programme for 11–25 year-olds in Camden. It kicks off at the Somers Town Festival on Saturday 11 July 2026 — Roger will be on Chalton Street, meeting the community in person.
